“Israel Documentary” is an occasional blog about documentary film making in Israel and
the West Bank, edited by New York-based filmmaker Peter Cohn.   Cohn is currently
making “Holy Land,” (www.holylandfilm.com) a film about three Palestinians and three Israelis in the West Bank.  The film is in post production and is set for release in late 2013.

Cohn is a New York-based writer and film maker.  His previous documentary, “Power and Control: Domestic Violence in America” premiered at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival in 2010.   “Golden Venture,” a film about the Chinese immigrants aboard the ill-fated freighter Golden Venture, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2006.  The film also screened at the Amnesty International Film Festival and other festivals.  Cohn’s documentaries are widely seen by educators and students — they are distributed extensively through Cohn’s Hillcrest Films distribution company and through New Day Films, both on DVD and via streaming.
